Good Morning from Sebastian Florida

Good morning from the dock along the Indian River Lagoon in Sebastian, Florida. Here’s your daily waterfront weather, fishing, and wildlife report for Wednesday June 3, 2026.

Holy mackerel did it pour shortly after I filed this today.  It sounded like it was going to come through the roof it came down so hard.  Supposedly it is going to end today and we are going to get the east wind back with lower humidity but it sure doesn't look that way this morning.

🌤 Waterfront Weather Conditions

Time: 9:00AM

Air Temperature: 76°F - high of 82

Humidity: 89%

Wind Direction & Speed: Northeast at 10 MPH

Tide Stage: High at 1 PM and Low around 7:30 PM

Water Conditions: Clarity is gone with a heavy chop on the water.  Level is up too from the wind direction.

Lagoon Living Tip for the Day:

Keep a simple nature journal.

Whether it's dolphins, manatees, spoonbills, mullet runs, or spectacular sunsets, jotting down what you see each week helps you notice patterns in the lagoon that most people miss.

🎣 Fishing Activity & Wildlife Sightings

None.  They knew it was about to pour rain and had all taken shelter.  I got back to my place just in tome!

🌊 Indian River Lagoon Spotlight

Featured Community Farm: The Environmental Learning Center

Located on a beautiful island in the Indian River Lagoon, the Environmental Learning Center (ELC) combines environmental education, habitat restoration, citizen science, and native plant stewardship. Their native plant nursery helps supply species that support pollinators, birds, and healthier local ecosystems.

The ELC has introduced countless residents and visitors to the lagoon through guided paddles, educational programs, field trips, and hands-on conservation experiences.

🏡 Sebastian & Vero Real Estate Suggestion of The Day

Flood insurance and flood zones are not the same thing.

Many buyers assume a home outside a high-risk flood zone doesn't need flood insurance. In reality, a significant percentage of flood claims occur outside the highest-risk zones. Understanding a property's elevation, flood history, and insurance options can help avoid surprises later.
