Good morning from the dock along the Indian River Lagoon in Sebastian, Florida. Here’s your daily waterfront weather, fishing, and wildlife report for Thursday June 25, 2026.

One more day working for ORCA this week.  Today is nursery maintenance day down in Vero where we grow the plants that we planted on our living shoreline here in Sebastian.  A beautiful early morning under a massive live oak tree that shades our nursery!

Then I stopped by Hogan Yards which is just off US1 between Aviation and the citrus museum.  What a place!  4 covered pickleball courts, Orchid Island Brewing is onsite, a real live onsite BBQ smoker was already fired up.  Huge outdoor play area.  I met toe nice couple who owns the place and they were super nice.  Go visit them and drink some beer with them.  Great facility!

Air Temperature: 77°F - high of 92

Humidity: 79%

Wind Direction & Speed: E at 5 MPH

Water Conditions: It was nice on the dock when I ran down there.  Water level is very low after all the west winds we've had but now that it's out of the East the clarity has gone down some.

Explore the Lagoon Without a Boat

One of the best things about living on the Treasure Coast is that you don't need to own a boat to enjoy the Indian River Lagoon.

Public parks, fishing piers, kayak launches, waterfront boardwalks, and nature preserves provide incredible opportunities to experience the lagoon from shore.

Whether you're watching dolphins at sunrise, spotting a roseate spoonbill along the shoreline, or enjoying an evening breeze from a public dock, some of the best lagoon memories are completely free.

Todays wildlife was me watching tadpoles that were scurrying about in our planters.  The ones we took the Sparatina grass out of were loaded with tadpoles.  Predator free living!

The Indian River Land Trust has been conserving land and protecting water resources in Indian River County since 1990. Its mission is to protect, improve, provide access to, and preserve waterways, open spaces, and green places for the benefit of today's residents and future generations. The organization has helped preserve more than 1,300 acres, including 12 miles of Indian River Lagoon shoreline, while creating public access through trails, preserves, and educational programs.
