Lagoon Living Tip of the Day:

Notice the Water Color

Water color tells a story.

💚 Green often means healthy phytoplankton.

💙 Dark water may simply reflect depth.

🤎 Brown water often follows heavy rain as tannins wash downstream.

Crystal clear water isn't always the healthiest water. The lagoon is constantly changing.

Wildlife & Nature

Todays wildlife and nature are taken in via car in my driving video series.

The Nature Conservancy

The Nature Conservancy works throughout Florida protecting wetlands, restoring rivers, improving coastal resilience, and preserving wildlife habitat.

Along Florida's east coast their efforts help:

  • Restore wetlands
  • Improve water quality
  • Protect native habitats
  • Build resilience against storms
  • Support scientific research

Healthy wetlands upstream create healthier estuaries downstream.

Lagoon Lifestyle & Real Estate

Visit Local Parks Before Buying

One of the easiest ways to judge a community is by visiting its parks.

Ask yourself:

  • Are families using them?
  • Are they clean?
  • Are they well maintained?
  • Do they offer waterfront access?
  • Would you enjoy spending time there?

Great parks usually reflect an engaged community.
